With the Act to Strengthen Care in Statutory Health Insurance (Gesetz zur Stärkung der Versorgung in der gesetzlichen Krankenversicherung - GKV-VSG), the legislator has regulated the interlocking of outpatient and inpatient services as an entitlement of insured persons to discharge management. The transition to outpatient follow-up care, often after large-scale interventions, is described by both therapists and those affected as problematic and not infrequently traumatising. Our facilities accompany you on the way to the hospital and are also available to support you directly at release.
The WCC-WoundCareCenters focus on their patients from inpatient stays to outpatient follow-up care and preventive treatment.
Insufficient and uniformly regulated qualification profiles for the treatment of wound healing disorders, chronic and difficult-to-heal wounds among doctors, nurses and other professional groups represent a further problem in holistic therapy support.
Outpatient care centres that treat a high number of competently treated cases have a high level of experience expertise, which leads to better efficiency and thus improved treatment results.
With more than 1400 trained wound managers and more than 8500 basic week visitors in Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Italy, this training is the most successful educational concept with a consistently monitored level of education in German-speaking Europe since 1999. All WCC-WoundCare Nurses of our WCC-WoundCareCenters complete this further training as part of their work.
The German Society for Wound Healing and Wound Treatment
e.V. (DGfW e.V.) was founded in 1994 as an interdisciplinary scientific
society in Wiesbaden. The aim of the founders was
to create an organisation that supports the transfer of knowledge between
research and practice for the improved treatment of acute and chronic
wounds.
The DGfW is a member of the EWMA (European Wound Management Association) and cooperates with other organisations that deal with the subject of wound healing.
The DGfW e.V. is a member of the AWMF, the Association of the Medical Scientific Societies, and thus part of an extensive network for the promotion of performance- and future-oriented development of medical sciences and medical practice.
Since 2008, WCC-WoundCareCenter GmbH has had its locations certified by TÜV AUSTRIA in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 (standard for quality management systems) and EN 15224 (standard for quality management systems for health care).
Each WCC undergoes such a certification audit shortly after its opening. The requirements that must be fulfilled are specified here by the system standard DIN ISO 9001:2015 and EN 15224.
The auditor of the certification body subsequently visits the facility every two years to check the extent to which the company complies with the requirements of the management system in accordance with the certification during ongoing operations and to extend the certificate (recertification).
An audit is a systematic, formal, independent and documented process which serves to evaluate the management system with regard to the fulfilment of the requirements and the guidelines laid down in the relevant regulations. We distinguish between (re-) certification audits and internal audits.
As a system audit, the certification audit checks whether the company's entire management system meets the specified requirements.
The aim of the internal system audit is to systematically evaluate and improve the installed quality management system according to DIN EN ISO 9001: 2015 and EN 15224 at WCC-WoundCareCenter GmbH.
